Oh, such simple things. Things we so often do, forgetting the power within them.
Do you know that each time you smile, your face is lifted, your brain’s natural chemicals for happiness are released, and you actually create an energetic shift in the way people feel around you?
When you frown, your face drops, and your brain’s natural chemicals for stress are released. Each of these simple actions have the power to affect the behavior of others and the world around you.
What amazing power we have to transform this world through our own thoughts and behaviors.
So when I say “take in a deep breath, hold it for 5 seconds, release it, and let your body relax” i’m stating this because it’s so incredibly necessary, powerful, and true. It is far too often that we allow the energy of the world and the behaviors of ourselves, and others, to control the peace in our lives.
We forget that if something is uncomfortable and/or doesn’t feel good that although there may be a teacher in it for us, it isn’t meant for us to suffer into eternity without also experiencing the joy and freedom of awakening along the way.
With all that we have going on in the world today, from the presidential campaign to the awareness of the suffering all around regardless of what state or country, to those suffering with great illness, financial despair or broken hearts, we as a collective, starting with you, have the ability to transform so much more than what we are aware.
Today and tomorrow start with your focus on love, kindness, and compassion especially for yourself. Spread that to others and just see the miraculous things that happen.
